We have arrived at the beginning of Junior Year. Oh my. Where has the time gone? I keep remembering 2 years ago, when I was a clueless freshman moving in, and now, I'm helping with orientation. It's wonderful to know what's going on now!

Classes begin on Tuesday... I am really excited for each and every one of my classes this semester. They're all major-specific (or minor-specific!), which is a whole lot better than having to take random history or english classes that honestly, I don't really care about.
So, I'll be taking Youth Ministry 2, Catechetical Content and Curriculum, Principles of Biblical Study, Scriptural Foundations of Catechetics, and Digital Photography and Fine Art. The interesting thing about this semester is that all of my classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays (from 9 am 'til 5 pm), meaning that every weekend is a 4-day weekend for me!! Wednesdays I will be working in the chapel for 7 hours. I'm looking forward to my schedule, but I'm hoping that it's not too hectic on those days.

After my last chat with my homeopathic Doctor, he told me that I need to drink a "green smoothie" every morning for breakfast. Somewhat daunted and worried about the implications of preparing these at school, Mom and I started researching small blenders. I received a recipe for the smoothies from the Dr. (his personal recipe!) and we bought all the ingredients.
Now I have 24 bags of fruit and spinach in my freezer, a mini blender, 2 jars of coconut oil, eggs, yogurt, and coconut water all hanging out in my room. I feel like the ultimate health nut, but the smoothies are yummy and filling, and they give me a lot of energy!

2 weekends ago, my family hosted 3 Northern Crossroads walkers at our house for lunch! It was the last weekend of this year's walk, and they spoke at my parish at all the Masses. It was wonderful to hear about their adventures, and compare stories. One of the girls who came I had met last summer, when we stayed at her family's house for the weekend!

Speaking of Crossroads, there are 3 new Franciscan students who are Crossroads alumni! (one is living across the hall from me!)

My oldest niece, who just turned 12 last week, is starting junior high this Monday!! She'll be going to the same junior/senior high that I went to for high school. It's crazy to think that she's old enough to be there. I'm so excited for her to have new experiences and learn so many new things. And maybe I'll go see a volleyball game or two ; )

Many of you will remember Evelyn, my roommate from my first 3 semesters at college. She and 179 other Franciscan students are arriving in Gaming, Austria tomorrow to begin their overseas semester!! Please keep them all in your prayers as they enjoy a new culture and have some crazy adventures.
Have a blessed weekend, everybody!
