My last two weeks of Christmas break have been somewhat of a whirlwind. But it's been a good kind of whirlwind; the kind full of laughter, family, friends, and coffee dates.
For two weeks we prepared for Christmas. To celebrate the birth of the Most Important Baby Who's ever been born. We baked breads and cooked hors d'oeuvres and made secret trips to the store for that one last gift. And on Christmas Eve, I attended Midnight Mass and was once again blown away by the significance of the night.
Other than Midnight Mass, though, I think the best days of break are yet to come. See, since my Crossroads team and I finished walking, we've been talking about a reunion. That was 16 months ago (yikes!). Well, starting tomorrow, we will be reunion-ing! All but one member of our team will be coming into Virginia to gather for 10 days at my house. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited, and if I had to guess I'd say that the rest of the team is excited too :)
If you aren't familiar with our team, here is a little summary that I wrote during the walk, and here is a picture of all of us:

And lest I leave you with the impression that we were all business and no fun, I give you examples of Plenty of Fun...
